It's always lovely to be asked to create a painting for a specific location. The one below was created for a beautfiul barn and was inspired by a mutually much loved vista on the North Cornwall Coast. When taking a commission it's important to have a sense of its intended location which helps dictate the size of the finished work and colour inspiration. The choice of soft greys and the striking Pthallo Turquoise was inspired from the room itself, existing paintings and the paint finish of the bar above which the painting would hang.

Please do feel free to contact me should you be interested in me working on a commission.

In these extraordinary and challenging times it is wonderful to see the incredibly imaginative and initiative ways in which people can support one another. The Artstist Support Pledge created by Matthew Burrows Studio is one such idea. Now supported by the Arts Craft Council the aim is to support fellow artists in creating an environment to create a forum in which to sell their work. I have thoroughly enjoyed following a number of new artists on the back of the Pledge and it has been wonderful to feel connected to the wider artist community. I have put up three paintings for sale and I am working on several others at the moment. If interested in purchasing any of these please feel free to contact me by email or via Instagram.

I've been lucky to be asked to paint several commissions following my exhibition in January. It is always exciting and challenging to paint locations which are unknown to me as an artist particularly with overseas locations. That said it is always enjoyable to explore a new colour palette with seas, skies and sand oftern vastly different to the British coastline that I am used to.
